My name is Masayuki SHIMOYAMA. Bron the 8th of August 1974, I Live in Tokyo,Japan, officeworker.
I have a younger brother,he is interesting about solex also.

2. Your passion for velosolex, wher does it come from ?
First,Solex is very rare in Japan, so I feel defferent form other people. 2nd, Solex has small motor it means less power and slowly, I can feel motor itself more closely. I think solex speed - or rhythm - is
close to human.And,Solex, it is fan

!

3. How many solex have you got ?
I have one solex, model 3800 by Inpex.

4. Can you tell us about the Solex activities in Japan ?
Unfortunately, We have only little fanatic in Japan. I think we don’t have any organized fanclub for solex in Japan. But few community are in Internet.
In ’70s Japanese motorcar maker “Dai-hatsu” produced solex type 5000, under licence. Nowdays, We can find few of them in market. Sometimes it was re-conditioned(motor and paint) by owner.
Here I attache some comments Japanese solexist:

5. Tell us about your best experience with your Velosolex.
I love ride my solex in my town, visit Japanese tradtional point.
For example, buddhism temple, Japanese temple, old town, and so on.
